Market Place refurb makes a splash!

Not to be outdone by all this week's talk of a  new water feature in Boston, contractors in Boston Market Place decided to make their own contribution ...



The reader who kindly sent us the photo commented: " Oh dear, they hit a water main - then tried to stem the waterfall with a dumper bucket!
"Skating rink opens tonight?"

Boston's Labour councillors also couldn't ignore the irony.
The e-mail accompanying the photos below read: "Boston’s Labour Councillors were pleased to see that the Borough’s Conservative administration has decided to install a fountain and water feature in the Market Square.

  1. Surely they are in posession of a ground plan showing water & electrical mains???

    What's the betting this gets used as an excuse for not meeting the programmed end date?

    But... the most serious question... I hope the IT buses did not get diverted.
