  3. Stopped at Crowland for fish and chips the other day, sad to say that small town puts Bostons puny efforts to shame, it had flags flying and bunting on just about every shop and building, they are certainly not afraid to show that they are patriotic there. Oh and the parking is FREE.

  4. Robin, I reckon most centres, large and small, will have put Boston's effort to shame. What a sad opportunity was missed not to use the Stump to mark the occasion. I can think of a number of ways it might have played its role but sadly imagination and inspiration are not qualities that abound within this town.

    Anyway, looking on the bright side, at least you found some free parking!
